MXG Monaco is the Principality arm of MXG Group: counsel and delivery for families, landowners, governments and sovereign enterprises shaping places that endure.
Discover our approachAbout MXG Monaco
MXG Monaco is the Principality arm of MXG Group, a London-founded integrated platform that plans, funds, designs and delivers complex developments.
We serve clients with a Monaco interest, whether by capital, ownership, residency, brand or standards, across the Mediterranean and beyond.
Our platformThe Platform
Delivering complex districts, venues and estates is no longer linear. It is a choreography of capital, consents, design and delivery. MXG Monaco exists where someone must be accountable for the whole.
MXG runs the PMO, master schedule, cost model and common data environment. Gate reviews align to funding, consents and procurement milestones. Client secondees embedded across finance, commercial, operations and safety.
FNZ designs the capital stack — senior debt, mezzanine, equity and value-capture tools — with funding gates aligned to de-risked design and consent stages. Cashflow modelling and investor relations managed end to end.
RMJM leads masterplanning, architecture, design codes and approvals strategy — anchored to operational priorities and peak-day performance from day one, with net-zero and whole-life value integrated by design, not appended.
MCG leads procurement strategy, manufacturing-led construction and logistics. Route selected per package — D&B, CM, alliance or hybrid — with QA traceability from factory to site and commissioning through to handover.
A secure common data environment integrates 4D schedule and 5D cost with earned value, risk heatmaps, change control and KPI dashboards. ISO-aligned information security. No draw without evidence.
Whole-life carbon trajectories, energy hierarchy and circularity embedded from masterplan stage. Local SME spend targets (≥30%), inclusive design, and recognised social value measurement frameworks on every project.
The Group
MXG Group was founded in London in 2020 to do what no single discipline can: hold responsibility for a complex development from its first sketch to its final walk-through, on behalf of one principal.
Sovereign-Grade
Some places must remain sovereign. They are commissioned at the seat of state by republics, principalities, city-states and the institutions that act in their name. They must serve generations, withstand political weather, and hold their value when conventional markets do not.
MXG's Sovereign-Grade practice provides sovereign principals, and the counsel they trust, with the four things that matter most when the asset is the country itself.
Decision rights are ring-fenced and visible. The state retains authorship over what is built in its name.
Lender-grade reporting, independent technical assurance, and a single accountable platform answering to one principal.
Capital, partners and pace can change at every gate. The masterplan does not lose its logic.
Standards and stewardship persist after we step away, into operations, the next administration and the long arc of the place.
Heritage
MXG carries forward a lineage that begins in Edinburgh in 1956 with the founding of RMJM, and continues through the Morrison Group into the present day. The Morrison family's stewardship has been the constant; the disciplines have widened with the work.
From the rebuilding of Kuwait City's water and aviation infrastructure after the Gulf War, to the new Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh; from the Dubai International Financial Centre and Capital Gate in Abu Dhabi, to the venues of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games; from the Gazprom headquarters in St Petersburg to the China Merchants Bank Tower in Shanghai, the work has held to a single discipline: do what was promised, with the patience of a very long view.
Approach
Development is, in the end, a private matter. We treat that responsibility with the discretion it deserves: we do not advertise engagements, name clients, or publish work the owner has not chosen to share.
What we offer in place of noise is structure: decision gates aligned to funding, consents and procurement, optionality where it matters, and commitment when the evidence is ready.
We are rooted in the Principality and operate everywhere our clients require us to be. We answer to one principal at a time.
Programme Board and PMO established. Master schedule, cost model and CDE stood up. Client secondees embedded. Gate criteria defined. Operational requirements and peak-day performance set as the brief foundation.
Capital stack designed with FNZ: senior debt, mezzanine, equity and value-capture tools. Outline Business Case through to Financial Close, with funding gates tied to design and consent milestones — not the other way around.
RMJM leads masterplanning through RIBA stages with design codes, approvals strategy and net-zero integration. Procurement routes shortlisted per package. MMC and logistics strategies developed in parallel with design.
MCG executes with 4D/5D controls, earned value and change control. QA traceability from factory to site. Readiness and test events precede opening. Handover includes commissioning, O&M, warranties and asset registers.
Engagements
We accept a small number of new engagements each year, by introduction. The character of the work varies; the standards do not.
